Atlas Mountains Gallery.
If you’ve got a few days in Marrakesh I would strongly advise a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. This Atlas Mountains gallery is a few of my favourite photos from the day trip. We used a proper tour guide who knew his way around. It involved being picked up from the centre of Marrakesh at our Riyadh being transported to a proper Berber market in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and then on to a Berber village. With, undoubtedly, the best tasting Tagine I tasted during my whole time in Morocco!

There were plenty of opportunities to stop the 4×4 and take photos. Some were proper mountain roads, others were barely more than tracks. This is where the 4×4 came into its own. The Atlas Mountains and stark and majestic beauty to and after being Marrakesh it was such a contrast, compared to the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh.
One thing to bear in mind when booking this trip is to take something warm to wear. It may be hot in Marrakesh you may need a jumper or even account up in the mountains. The higher you go, the colder it gets.
