Vivino Wine App
I would like to introduce to the useful Vivino Wine App. This is not on behalf of the company, I wouldn’t do that to you, you know, bastardize my soul for advertising something I don’t believe in, this is purely my own voice. Vivino Wine App is a truly useful app which I use to help me keep track of what wines I drink and like.

Vivino Wine App Front Page
When I start my Vivino Wine App it displays the ‘My Wines’ section. Showing wines tasted, wines rated, your ‘taste profile’, and the beginning of the wines you tasted in chronological order. This is a scrollable list so you can see what ratings you gave the wine.

Vivino app your rated wines
This is a useful feature because if like me you are standing in a shop and think, ‘that one looks familiar’ but can’t remember what you thought of the wine, this will tell you. Aside, I wouldn’t normally spend £32 on a bottle of wine, this was an offering in the British Airways First lounge at Heathrow Terminal 3.
How to rate a wine
Firstly, to start building your list, go to the photo icon in the app:

Press the photo button
Swipe right for tips or just take the photo using the centre camera icon at the bottom:

Line up the wine in the view finder
Then take the photo by pressing the tick in the bottom right corner:

take photo and press the tick
The Vivino Wine App will then upload the photo:

Uploading the photo
It then displays the wine if it is found in it’s database. It gives you the average rating of the wine and the price. Using the slider, choose how many stars out of five you rate the wine.

Then write your review or notes. I tend to make notes for myself to remember but sometimes I’ll put a funny review if I’m over halfway through the bottle.

Other features
What do I tend to go for? What do I like? It might seem obvious but if they haven’t got a particular thing you are after when buying these can be useful pointers.

Wine Ideas
Looking for inspiration or really stuck for ideas the Wine Explorer can help out. Choose white or red, what you want to pay and a minimum star rating and go searching. It also tells you who stocks it.

And if you are really stumped
On balance, I really like the app. It has a lot of other features to explore too which I have not covered. Give it a go, you may find it useful too. It’s available in the Apple app store and on Google Play.
